摘要

The confinement of helically trapped particles is studied in torsatrons of typet>l, in comparison with conventional torsatrons of the Heliotron-E type. The main emphasis is on the simulation of the lost trapped particle angular distribution on the last closed magnetic surface, as well as on the improvement of particle confinement due to the optimization of the vacuum magnetic configuration of a torsatron. Optimization criteria for a set of device parameters are proposed. The effect of toroidal satellite harmonics on trapped particle confinement is also studied
