Specific heat and thermal conductivity measurements on thin films with a pulse method

Heat pulses propagating along one dimension are used for measurements of the heat capacity, the diffusivity, and hence the thermal conductivity of thin films on glass substrates. The method is illustrated with results on a film of granular aluminum.
