The structure of the northern segment of the Central Asian orogenic belt was formed during Early Paleozoic accretionary-collisional events associated with closure of the Paleoasian ocean. Owing to these processes, different terranes (microcontinents, intraoceanic complexes, and island arcs) docked with the Siberian Craton and formed collisional belts along its margin. One of them is the Sayan-Baikal collisional belt . It extends over more than 1000 km and includes several metamor-phic terranes (Fig. 1). We studied high-grade metamor-phic rocks of the Olkhon terrane, which is located in the northeastern part of the collisional belt at the Siberian Craton/Barguzin microcontinent junction .
