For many decades the genesis of oil and gas has been the subject of hot discussions and has attracted the attention of leading scientists and specialists engaged in applied fields. Indicative of this are numerous international and Russian conferences held in the current decade. Extensive factual material recently accumulated points to the polygenesis of oil and gas. The case in point is not only the feature of biogenic and abiogenic genesis of hydrocarbons, but, what is more important, the control of any processes of oil-and-gas (hereafter, petroleum) formation by global processes of the Earth's energy, dynamics, and degassing. Upper horizons of the crust, which comprise petroleum fields now under development, are objects of the activity of exogenous and endogenous processes, the atmosphere-biosphere-lithosphere interplay being one of their manifestations.
