We understand the importance of current and accurate information being reported in your journal. To that end, we were surprised to read the article in your December 2007 issue by Nair et al that asserted that Medco Health Solutions, Inc. has "altogether abandoned the idea" of developing innovative programs to improve the health of individuals with chronic diseases. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth! In response to the growing interest in such programs from health care payers and purchasers, Medco has dramatically increased its investment in capabilities to improve care and overall health outcomes for individuals with chronic conditions.
