Potato is one of the most important tuber food crops belonging to Solanaceae family cultivated all over the world. It has a great economical value due to versatile utilization of its tuber in food processing and industrial sector. However, its production is greatly influenced by range of biotic stresses i.e. pest and diseases. Among the diseases affecting the quality and quantity of potato, early blight caused by Alternaria solani (Ell. Martin) Jones and Grout is common foliar disease, being observed all over the world, causing losses up to 32 per cent under field conditions (Yellareddygari, 2018). However, these losses can be minimized by the use of efficient fungicides for the management at critical times (Potter Hooker, 1972). At present, various new molecules are available in market which need to be tested at field level for their efficacy against the disease. Hence, a new molecule of fungicide i.e. pydiflumetofen 7.5 + difenocaonazole 12.5 w/v (200sc) was evaluated for its bioefficacy against early blight of potato.
