Hebang Biotech to build glyphosate factory in Indonesia

Chinese agrochemical company Hebang Biotech plans to construct a facility with an annual production capacity of 200,000 metric tons of the herbicide,glyphosate,in Indonesia.Furthermore,the factory would be capable of producing 600,000 metric tons of sodium carbonate and ammonium chloride annually for agricultural use.The business will invest $800 million for the construction in the nation’s Java Integrated Industrial and Port Estate(JIIPE)industrial park.Alongside,Hebang has signed a letter of intention on co-operative investment with Indonesian logistics business PT AKR Corporindo Tbk.The duo will set up a joint venture to invest,construct,and operate the factory,of which Hebang will retain a 90 stake.
