The past year has been extremely eventful for our NPSA Family Therapy and Neurosciences group. The publication of the textbook Child Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Clinical Psychology, edited by Professor Edmond Eidemiller, was significantly important for the development of neuropsychoanalysis in the Baltic countries and in Russia. This textbook contains the chapter "Child Neuropsychoanalysis," which was written by the coordinator of the group, Arseny Tarabanov, Ph.D. In the chapter, for the first time in the Russian-language educational literature on psychiatry, the history of neuropsychoanalysis is considered from its founding by Professor Mark Solms to the present day. The chapter discusses the prospects of the neuropsychoanalytic approach in relation to the mental development of the child and the etiopathogenesis of mental disorders in children and adolescents.
