Argentina approves Don Mario's GM soybeans

Argentina has granted approval to Argentine seed genetics business Grupo Don Mario's (GDM - Buenos Aires) GM herbicide-tolerant GTS40-3-2xACSGM006 (A5547) soybeans. The approval was issued in June through the Ministry of the Economy's Provision No 14/2023. The GTS40-3-2 event in the GDM soybeans contains the Bayer legacy business Monsanto-developed Roundup soybeans conferring tolerance to the herbicide, glyphosate, while the A5547 is the Bayer developed LibertyLink for glufosinate herbicide tolerance.
