A George Palmer different from the one identified by J.D.Mollon is introduced as the author of the 1777 book,Theory of Colours and Vision and other works,and pertinent facts of his life are described.My introduction to George Palmer,author of a book titled Theory of Colours and Vision,published in London and simultaneously in a French translation in Paris in 1777,was through David MacAdam's.1970 book Sources of Color Science,where he included an excerpt from Palmer's text.
