With IMO's revisions to the LSA Code kicking in at the start of this year, Danish manufacturer Nadiro looks well poised to take advantage. The company's Drop-In-Ball lifeboat hook system is fully compliant with the amended IMO resolution MSC.320 (89): Amendments to the International Life-saving Appliances (LSA) Code Chapter IV - Survival Craft, which became compulsory for newbuildings on 1 January 2013. With other tonnage needing to fall in line at the first dry docking after July 12014, and at the latest by 2019, Nadiro has strengthened its position via a deal with Viking. In partnership with Viking Nadiro will extend the Drop-In-Ball global sales and service network, the partners providing a package including evaluation, installation, and retrofit.
