Flensburg ro-ros boost Turkish link to Europe

Following the completion of 14 freight ferries for Istanbul-based UN Ro-Ro Isletmeleri over a 10-year period, Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG) has consolidated its standing on the Turkish market by delivering a pair of trailerships to Ulusoy Sealines. Offering a loading capacity of 4,094 lane metres on a length overall of 208m, sisters Ulusoy-14 and Ulusoy-15 are the largest freight ferries built to date by the German yard, and represent the latest stage in the process of continual design refinement and capacity optimisation applied throughout the series.
