Four new Capesize ships for STX

STX Dalian of China has confirmed a new order for four Capesize bulk carriers from Frontline 2012 of Norway. The contract for the 181,000dwt quartet is understood to have faced stiff competition from China's Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding. The new vessels have been priced at around $47m per ship and are due for delivery between 2H14 and 1H15. Frontline 2012 is understood to hold options for a further four ships as part of the deal.
