摘要

The process of creating potable water from the sea is not new. From primitive desalination by sailors on ancient ocean vessels to sophisticated modern seawater treatment facilities, experts have long understood the science behind creating drinkable water during times of scarcity. In practice, however, these processes often demand too much time, expertise, and expense for individual use. A team of four gifted high school students is trying to change that. VivaFlow, a new company founded by high school students Sanya Verma, Kai Lin, Mihika Nadig, and Tommy Yang, focuses on providing user-friendly drinking water solutions to those in water-strapped coastal communities in developing countries.
