As the need to upgrade and/or expand existing water resource recovery facilities (WRRFs) grows, the water sector needs to remember some important considerations. This mindfulness will ensure that the upgrades and/or expansions are cost-effective, use minimum resources, and are energy-neutral to the extent possible.
