摘要

A prototype technology can harvest water from air in the world's driest climates. This invention moves scientists closer to producing potable water anywhere on Earth. Scientists with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT; Cambridge) and the University of California-Berkeley collaborated on the proof-of-concept device. It can distill water from air with a relative humidity as low as 20%. Powered solely by heat, the device also does not require external energy sources and contains no moving parts.
