Ontario Fish and Game clubs push for hatchery

Onee a hotbed for salmon fishing, inventory studies have shown that Ontario's Lake Mindemoya on Manitoulin Island is in need of support. Members of the United Fish and Games Clubs of Manitoulin (UFGCM) have been pushing to have a nearby facility converted into a hatchery."The lake is having some problems keeping up with wildlife production," says UFGCM President Jim Sloss. "They've got a building there on the shores that can be used. There's interest in some funding being made available from various groups of people. That's where we're at now, trying to make it happen."
