China Al production still grows rapidly, but to slow down next year

Data from the NBS show that China produced 606,772 tonnes of aluminum in October 2004 and its aluminum output for the first ten months this year increased by 20.8 percent year-on-year to 5,344,271 tonnes. China's aluminum output still grows rapidly because some smelters brought their newly-built potlines on stream in recent months and their production are approaching full capacity. Yunnan Aluminum Co., Ltd produced 24,651 tonnes aluminum in October and this indicates that the smelter has reached full capacity of 300,000tpy.
