Intermediate and advanced pilots will definitely want to add the newest Blade heli to their hangar. While it is diminutive in size, its performance is the opposite and you can fly it almost anywhere. What makes the mCP X unique and innovative is the flybarless rotor head. On a conventional collective-pitch helicopter, the flybar serves two primary purposes. First, it stabilizes the model due to the rotating mass of the flybar and paddles. Without them, a small gust or control input would send the heli off course making it very difficult to control. Secondly, the flybar paddles act similar to a car's power steering thus requiring less powerful servos to control the blades. The penalty is added weight and power robbing drag from the paddles.
