A new species of the genus Typhlocharis Dieck, 1869 (Coleoptera, Carabidae) from Portugal

A new endogean carabid species of the genus Typhlocharis Dieck, 1869 from Portugal is described and illustrated: Typhlocharis mendesi sp. n. The work provides diagnostic characters, the structure of male and female genitalia, discussions on affinities to related taxa, as well as some remarks on its ecology.
