It will come as little surprise that COVID-19 was the focus this year of chief nursing officer for England Ruth May's annual summit. After all, coronavirus is the 'biggest challenge in a generation', as Ms May told the scores of senior nurses from across the country who attended the two-day event in Birmingham (page 6).
