Skeletal and anthropometric determinants of gait balance in asymptomatic adult subjects

Maintaining balance allows subjects to minimize energy expenditure and avoid falls during gait. The relationship between the center of mass and center of pressure during gait has been recently shown to reflect dynamic gait balance [1,2]. However, there are currently no studies evaluating the determinants of balance during gait in asymptomatic adult subjects.
