Does self-perceived gait relate to objective gait assessmentin young adults with cerebral palsy?

Treatments of CP gait are based on objective measurements [1] but neglect often the perception of the patient. We don't know enough about how the patients perceived their gait [2]. We can speculate that the function and appearance of gait are two important factors for a patient. Indeed, studies concerning parental perceptions of CP reported a good correlation between parents' perception and objective walking ability of their child [3-5]. However, there is a lack of studies concerning the walking perception reported by the CP patient himself.
