Progressive Desmoid Tumor: Radiomics Compared With Conventional Response Criteria for Predicting Progression During Systemic Therapy-A Multicenter Study by the French Sarcoma Group

OBJECTIVE. The response of desmoid tumors (DTs) to chemotherapy is evaluated with Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors version 1.1 (RECIST 1.1) in daily practice and clinical trials. MRI shows early change in heterogeneity in responding tumors due to a decrease in cellular area and an increase in fibronecrotic content before dimensional response. Heterogeneity can be quantified with radiomics. Our aim was to develop radiomics-based response criteria and to compare their performances with clinical and radiologic response criteria.
