ANSWER: Given the inconsistent and patchwork nature of copyright education in LIS programs, this is an evergreen topic and I'm happy to share some resources for anyone who is new to copyright issues, or just wants to keep up with the latest developments in the field. There are several well-known standards in the field and a set of exciting new programs that may be worth exploring as well.
