They came from all over the world for dialogue in Rome that would lead to a common vision for the future of international agricultural research. Ester Zulberti, Director of Training and Information at ICRAF, reports that the meeting in December last year was hosted by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and attended by 40 leaders of national research systems (NARS), universities and non-governmental organizations along with 30 observers from co-sponsors, donors, the CGIAR and its Technical Advisory Committee.
