Importers have stepped in for Moroccan product, as global phosphate prices have continued to remain under pressure. Prices have fallen to around $375 cfr, or around $385/t fca, in the south. The gradual decline in DAP prices this year has encouraged buyers to step in as north African, Turkish and Russian producers continue to compete to allocate material across Europe. The Argus DAP index, a basket of fob prices from the fve largest exporting countries, has dropped by over 20 basis points this year.
