Stability Analysis of HIV/AIDS Transmission with Treatment and Role of Female Sex Workers

This paper concentrates on the role of prostitutes in HIV/AIDS disease transmission among common population. In this communication, a nonlinear SusceptibleInfected-Treated-AIDS infected (SITA) model is developed to study the transmission dynamics of HIV/AIDS infection in three different classes. The behavior of the model is analyzed by the basic reproduction number R-0 and the results of the model are investigated by using stability theory of differential equations. Analysis of the model demonstrates that the disease-free equilibrium is locally stable for R-0 < 1 and at R-0 > 1, the endemic equilibrium is globally stable. Further, numerical simulation of the model is carried out.
