Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) is regarded as one of the oldest and more widely known drugs all over the world. Aspirin has been used for a long time as analgesic, antithrombotic, antipyretic, and antirheumatic, but during the last decades, additional uses such as its administration on Alzheimer patients, derived from its anti-inflammatory power, have been added to the more prominent ones.
