AN ADVANTAGEOUS TURBOMACHINERY DESIGN METHOD: Designing new compressors from scratch and compressor redesign

Compressor design is a complex, aerodynamic task. Therefore, modern, user-friendly and powerful software tools are required to enable engineers to create and analyze multiple compressor component geometry variations in order to find an optimal solution - accurately, quickly and economically. This article describes the application of the CFturbo conceptual design software for designing new compressors and, secondly, by using existing compressor components for redesign and optimization.
