A field experiment was carried out in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India, during the kharif of 1999 and 2000 on a sandy loam soil to study the effects of inorganic fertilizers, organic manures and Azospirillum on the growth and yield of rainfed sweet potato (cv.
