Halco has introduced a new Mustad finish on its lure trebles, called DuraSteel. The coating will decrease corrosion by up to three times compared to current hook coatings. The new coating is much thinner then the older Duratin coated trebles, and hasa sharper point for improved penetration. The new coating can be recognised by its satin-like appearance as compared to the bright silver finish of the old Duratin finished hooks. This is good news as fishing in saltwater does affect hooks, no matter how much they are cleaned after a fishing trip. It also has benefits for freshwater anglers.
