Masonry structures

Committee BD-04, Masonry Structures, is busy preparing a draft for a proposed amendment to AS 3700:2001. The amendment is primarily intended to revise the structural design for masonry structures subject to earthquake actions to bring it in line with the requirements of the revised draft for the Earthquake Standard, AS 1170.4. The amendment also incorporates editorial corrections and specification improvements to the mortar scratch test based on improved knowledge of test performance and operation.
