Dedication

The ICMM 2000 conference in San Antonio, Texas, was dedicated to the memory of Olivier Kahn, who died unexpectedly in December, 1999, aged 57. He was the chairman of ICMM 1998, successfully held in Seignosse in the southwest of France, where it was decided that Kim Dunbar and Gregory Girolami would be responsible for the present meeting.
