Now the home furnishing industry with the needs of customers quickly delivery of goods. To Taiwan for example, because the land is not easy, the cost of rent is expensive, so take into account the need for goods distribution process to the logistics center as a relay station. This study explores that when the vehicle returns to the logistics center and then arrives at the demand point, the pick up and delivery separately; When the vehicle goes to the supplier to accept goods directly don't through distribution center deliver goods to the need point, the pick up and delivery together. Assuming the delivery process (to discuss the first to send and receive, send and receive goods together) whether the transit to the logistics center whether the impact of delivery speed, distribution of vehicles and distribution distance.

The aim of this study is to determine the reliability and validity of a new scale for measuring vocational knowledge towards entrepreneurship. The reliability will be examined using the Cronbach alpha. A fixed Cronbach alpha scale of 0.7 was used as the standard scale. The study also examined constructive validity, convergent validity and the divergent validity using the exploratory factor analysis. The study consisted of 631 participants from five colleges in Northern Saudi Arabia. The study indicated that the new scale for vocational knowledge have a convergent validity as it was able to examine the degree to which the operationalization is similar to other operationalization that it theoretically should be similar. The study also indicated that the questionnaire is reliable and is able to give reliable and consistent results to the study.

In current global and competitive environments, innovation is considered as a key success factor towards growth and meeting customer demands and expectations within the product development processes. It will investigate the early stages of the research study within this domain through the findings from literature focusing on demand chain and new product development and the use of sustainable practices within manufacturing. The researcher's focus is to further develop the understanding to propose a novel framework of NPD (New Product Development) to DCM (Demand Chain Management) to utilize the research findings. The study has identified the incorporation of NPD-DCM considering all the business ecosystem entities and the flow of information, finances and materials within the supply chain structure. The results of this study can be utilized by researchers and practitioners researching within similar context and environments.

This study intended to evaluate and prove the significance of vocational knowledge on entrepreneurial intention in university students, with the support of empirical evidence. The study also intended to produce an in-depth understanding of the factors involved in the vocational knowledge that contributes to improving the behavior of individuals. The study employed a quantitative research approach; the data collection method was based on both primary and secondary sources. This study thus provides a detailed understanding of the impact of vocational knowledge (factual, conceptual, procedural, and meta-cognitive knowledge) and its increasing importance over time, along with the drawbacks evident in the acquisition of knowledge in universities. The study findings revealed that collaboration of different kinds of knowledge dimensions, identified in terms of factual, conceptual, procedural, and meta-cognitive knowledge, have a strong impact on the enhancement of entrepreneurial intention of students, as higher knowledge will help to implement better and effective decisions in critical scenarios. In accordance, SPSS, graphs, and charts have been used for analyzing the retrieved data from primary sources.

The present research proposes a implementation model of Lean Manufacturing starting from a production system defined with Theory of Constraints (TOC). The paper describes a case study at a major Ecuadorian footwear company with the aim of reducing delivery times and inventories generated by work in process. Value stream mapping is used to identify wasteful action as opportunities for improvement and with the implementation model both Lean and Theory of Constraints tools are applied. The analysis of activities that add and do not add value in the value stream of the current state and then allows to develop the map of the future state from the relationship between the analysis of constraints and the inventory of the TOC and Pull production and takt time of Lean. The results allow to demonstrate the successful application of the model in the footwear industry with a reduction in nonvalue-added time and inventory of 40\% and 78\% respectively.

Apart from operation dimension in supply chain, another perspective in healthcare supply chain is the infrastructure for Logistics. This infrastructure concerns much in data and information flows. The study focuses on three levels for constructing this infrastructures: Public health policy maker, provincial public health office and hospital levels. A survey was conducted. The framework for data collections was based on data standardization, database and its applications. The findings identified the status of such areas. It shows that lack of standardization could lead to poor information in the supply chain. Five core components for the foundation are recommended. These are standard data, standard exchange data, a single data pool, ability to track and trace and data centre. Implications and suggestions for policy makers are recommended.

Automated Guided Vehicle System (AGVS) is widely applied in many automated manufacturing systems, especially in the e-commerce warehouses recently. When multiple AGVs are running in the limited spaces, lots of issues involved in the traffic management, such as collision and deadlock, need to be well addressed. Based on the digraph model, this paper proposed some effective rules, and applied online control strategies to achieve these goals with both unidirectional and bidirectional paths. Simulations based on practical settings are carried out, and the results verified the effectiveness of rules and strategies.

A unique phenomenon in the retailer market nowadays, where some of the retailers (salvage retailers) buy nearly expired grocery products from other retailers and resell them, may lead to the better market segmentation and increase the utilities of both consumer and retailers. This paper aims to model the possible relationship (i.e., decentralized and centralized system) between retailer and salvage retailer. EOQ model with demand as a multivariate function of product price, freshness level, and displayed inventory level is used. Zero ending inventory assumption inventory is also relaxed to boost the sale and profit based on the demand formulation. As a result, the objective is to determine three decision variables (i.e., product price, inventory cycle time, and ending inventory level) in order to maximize the total profit. Numerical examples are presented to highlight the theoretical implications and managerial insight.

The game scheduling regulations of the National Basketball Association (NBA) are discussed and scheduling for it is formulated as a complex traveling tournament problem and referred to as the NBA scheduling problem (NBASP). Benchmarks for the problem were depicted from previous official schedules and organized as formatted files for researchers. Although, reducing the travel length is the goal of the problem, valuation indices: counts of back-to-back games, four-games-in-five-days, and weekend games were reported in the benchmark. A genetic algorithm (GA)-based method is proposed for solving the NBASP, in which a dedicated encoding scheme and decoding procedure were designed to obtain feasible schedules. A tailored population initialization procedure was used to reduce infeasible initial solutions and cost-estimated heuristic mutation operation was employed to effectively accelerate the generation of superior schedules in the simulated genetic evolution of an optimum solution. The 2014-2015 benchmarks of the NBA schedule was used in testing and results showed a reduction the travel length by up to 14\%. Moreover, the non-preferable indices for players were also reduced.

Sequence data are sometimes rare, non-linear and non-normal, the models form grey theory are just suitable for this kind of scenario. An generalized version of originally GM(1,1) is described that takes power exponent, smoothing factor, initial condition and residual modification into account. In order to alleviate the tediousness of manual parameter selection and the problem of over- fitting in training stage, we then conduct the parameter optimization and parameter screening using genetic algorithm (GA) and 2k factorial design, respectively. The above model does not deviate from the idea of simplicity in grey theory. The experiments suggest that the high- precision of proposed method is able to improve the effectiveness of prediction.

This study proposes a customized prediction scheme for customer churn. This scheme is based on cumulative quantity control (CQC) chart that monitors customers' inter arrival time (IAT). In addition, recency, a time interval pattern that is complementary with IAT is integrated in to increase false positive rate (FP) and to reduce false negative rate (FN) and average time to signal (ATS). Unlike the previous studies that are presented with static data analysis and tabular reports, CQC offers a unique prediction scheme that, in addition to graphic visualization, can perform dynamic monitoring as time passes and new information is collected. When a customer exceeds the control limit at a CQC score, the scheme issues an out-of-control warning for the bad behavior to help the administrator to take preventive measures. This paper conducts empirical analysis of the database of an online dating website in Taiwan and compares different CQC-v of Xie et al. (2002) with CQC of Chan et al. (2000), and the results show that the accuracy (ACC) of CQC-4 is the highest and ATS places second on the list.

The aim of the paper is to develop a spatio-temporal state space model with a better understanding of the dynamic characteristics in a supply chain system. The proposed model incorporates the space and time domain into the model of supply chain system. The estimation method is proposed based on the constructed model. The study will utilize a spatio- temporal state space model associated with EM algorithm technique in describing a dynamic characteristic of supply chain system. Inventory is managed based on demand forecasting at various points of the supply chain from incomplete data.

In this study we propose a proactive optimization approach to manage the supply chain risk. The purpose of presented model in this paper is supplier selection with the objective of minimizing the total cost. We apply the multi sourcing strategy to avoid the supply disruption while restricting the selection by suppliers' corporate groups and the second-tier suppliers. We examine the model by different datasets. The findings suggest that this approach has more fficiency when the variance between suppliers' total cost is lower.

Assuming that all projects commence at the beginning of the investment horizon, and have different durations. The profit generated by the completed projects can be reinvested in the other projects, the capital surplus can be used for securities investment and adjustment after project investment. To help the investors obtain higher investment return than traditional pure project selection method, we transform the proposed bi-objective function into a single objective function, and propose a mixed project and security selection and adjustment model. Then provide a stochastic simulation based solution method to solve the problem.

Supply Chain wide proactive risk management based on real-time risk related information transparency is required to increase the security of modern, volatile supply chains. At this time, none or only limited empirical/objective information about digitalization benefits for supply chain risk management is available. A method is needed, which draws conclusion on the estimation of costs and benefits of digitalization initiatives. The paper presents a flexible simulation based approach for assessing digitalization scenarios prior to realization. The assessment approach is integrated into a framework and its applicability will be shown in a case study of a German steel producer, evaluating digitalization effects on the Mean Lead time-at-risk.

Achieving the desired quality standard is crucial in manufacturing of nutritional premixes such as infant formulae. Issues of out-of-specifications and presence of foreign matter and/or bacteria are unacceptable in the industry. Six Sigma is a renowned approach for improving quality management through eliminating variation. The main objective of Six Sigma model is to highlight the critical processes that need controlling to attain the required quality for both, internal and external customer. This paper aims to showcase the development and application of Six Sigma framework in improving quality management through the use of appropriate tools in a medium-sized premix manufacturing facility in Auckland. The company is experiencing quality issues in terms of meeting standard specifications of ingredient contamination within end products, leading to late deliveries and impacting business reputation. The proposed framework standardizes the Six Sigma methods Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control for food manufacturing business. Using this framework, the study optimizes the manufacturing process around the blenders: loading, mixing blenders leading towards packaging. The results describe the improvement in meeting specification standards, on-time deliveries and reduction of rework. The research outcome provides a guidance for small- and medium- sized food manufacturing enterprises to effectively adopt a Six Sigma framework to enhance quality management through eliminating variation in the production processes.

A coconut grower family who used to sell their produce to processing plant is now considering transforming their business by expanding their role in the coconut supply chain from coconut farmer into agriproduct processing because it can prolong consumption age which make to exporting. The farmers' revenues and profits can be increased if they consider expanding their role in the supply chain by being responsible for the trimming and transporting the trimmed coconuts to the exporters. In this paper, we consider a coconut supply chain in which the fresh coconuts are supplied to a central processing plant from multiple coconut plantations. There, the fresh coconuts are trimmed and then transported to the exporters. All of these activities will be responsible by the farmers. The farmer of this coconut supply chain has to make decisions such as the committed export quantity in the export contract which will be signed one year in advance the processing quantity of fresh coconuts, the number of labor for harvest, the number of labor for production process at each stage, and the production schedule through a mathematical model is developed. It considers constraints like the volume and quality of coconut, time limitation and restriction of labor. The results shows the appropriate volume of fresh coconut and the labor rise to the satisfy demand of customer. Consequently, the farmer increase profit in business.

This paper presents the review/monitoring history of all kind of service equipment organization on common platform with identical format for information entry. The equipment covers ranges of all sizes, cost, portability and its use for different applications like emission measurement, safety measurement, environmental conditioning, on road measurements, etc. Micro level information data consists of equipment information (Installation date, cost etc), daily usage, observation of condition of equipment, maintenance solution, down time etc. This also provides information on availability of equipment, its actual use and tracking of maintenance data with fault processing. Recording of technical and financial information of ongoing activities including utilization is done on daily basis. The information is linked to various analysis tools. It has Inbuilt feature to measure, calculate and compare the equipment performance, to move towards achievements of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and six sigma business development strategy. Analysis module consists of age analysis to follow bath tub curve in its full life cycle (Infant Mortality Rate), uncertainty in breakdown faults, cause- effect analysis, root cause analysis, time and condition of component failures, With the help of analysis tools the module is allowing us to review and draw action plans to remove all root causes, update preventive maintenance plans, proper planning step to move towards predictive maintenance and zero breakdown. It gives effective input to improve user vigilance for use of equipment. It also gives us equipment classification based on age, time, periodic utilization and /cumulative utilization, technological change by Stochastic dynamic programming solutions. By this module we can correctly quantify and assess break-down status and thereby reduce breakdowns significantly. We also can analysis reliability, availability, failures, machine up time, cost analysis for asset utilization like fix capital intensity, cost of repairs, equipment utilization \% turn over, etc. This total data of all equipment (organization) are on one platform so we can go through all equipment history with analysis in one look. This platform consists of crew of equipment users, maintenance engineers & managers, so all are connected with each other with their responsibility.
