Focus on flexibility

The tobacco machinery buzzword for some time has been 'flexibility'. Flexibility for Hauni means the capability to react fast when faced with changing market demands and to use production machinery equipment to its maximum capacity. Therefore, cigarette and filter makers need to enable fast Quick Size Changes (QSCs) or Quick Brand Changes (QBCs) - not only for the mechanical change itself but in order to get back to quality production after a QSC or QBC as fast and as simply as possible. Hauni is addressing these needs not only with new products but also with solutions for our rebuild makers. Flexibility means as well the capability to produce quality filter and cigarettes with very different materials and to produce, for example, extremely varied filter setups with one machine - like for example MERLIN does.
