ABB has launched its new WaterMaster sensor with a unique feature being that all sizes can be buried. Installation merely involves excavating to the underground pipe, fitting the sensor, cabling to the transmitter and then backfilling the hole. The new range of flowmeters are specifically targeted at the water, wastewater and sewage markets.rnThe new flowmeter incorporates an innovative octagonal sensor design which improves flow profile and reduces up and down stream piping requirements. By using a higher excitation frequency combined with advanced filtering, WaterMaster also improves measurement accuracy by reducing fluid and electrode noise.
