New Approach To Development Of Awa Policy Positions

An important responsibility of the Australian Water Association is to advocate policy positions on behalf of members. At its November meeting the Board endorsed a policy defining the way in which AWA Position Papers will be developed and the manner in which responses to public enquiries will be prepared. This policy is intended to streamline the production of these seminal documents, and provide an opportunity for the wider membership and, in particular, state and territory branches and Specialist Networks to lead or be involved in their production. In line with the new approach, 6 Position Papers that were close to completion at the time the policy was endorsed have been finalised and posted on the AWA website (see the 'Programs' tab on the homepage).
