There is no doubt that one of the biggest challenges faced in coping with Western Australia's drying climate over the last decade or so has been to retain the trust of the public and politicians.rnTo those of us involved in securing WA's water future in what were to eventuate as very trying times indeed the drying process, particularly in the south west corner of the State (where most of the people live) was becoming fairly clear by the mid 1990s. It appeared to be following a trend that appeared to have begun in the mid-1970s.
