Developments in the re-use of mineral waste: Wascon 2006 International Conference

Around 1985 in The Netherlands many research projects dealt with the technical and environmental aspects of the application of mineral waste materials. Most of this research was financially supported by Governmental programs.rnConclusion 1: Governmental policy, legislation development and subsequently funding stimulates research.rnAround 1990 the Dutch Government was working on the design of legislation for the application of mineral waste materials in construction. Because of developments in Europe at that time, the Dutch Government supported the international exchange of know-how.
