We live in the times of the internet, with information available fast and extensively. Business relies on easy access to information, updated knowledge and experience. Indeed, this information from all over the world can be accessed through the internet. So what else do we need? Conferences, workshops, journals? Do we need an international waste journal? (/ have no time to read it) or personal contact with other waste scientists or professionals? {for what purpose, they even may steal my ideas and use my experiences in their professional life, perhaps they are competitors, and moreover I have to pay for what I do not need and the representatives of the association probably use the money to go on costly business trips.)
