Assessment of plastic waste generation and inventorying of plastic manufacturing units in Madhya Pradesh, 2008

摘要

Urban residents generate 350-1000 g per capita of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) every day and with the increase in population and rising income, urban India is becoming a "throwaway society". The present annual solid waste generation in Indian cities has increased from 48 million tones/annum in 1997 to 95 Million Tones/Annum, which might exceed 150 million tonnes over the next 7 years.
