摘要

A second rail border crossing between Hong Kong SAR and Mainland China is being constructed. The Kowloon Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) is constructing the Hong Kong section of the link, the 7.4 km Lok Ma Chau Spurline. The design and build contract, 'LBD201 - Sheung Shui to Chau Tau Tunnels' forms part of the Spurline and comprises the design and construction of 3.6 km of 8.75 m excavated diameter twin bored tunnels and approximately 1.4 km of cut-and-cover approach tunnels and associated structures. This paper presents a back analysis of the performance of the retaining wall used to construct the cut-and-cover tunnels.
