There is no secret that we face serious challenges in water and wastewater infrastructure. Oft-quoted studies show spending shortfalls in the hundreds of billions of dollars in the coming decades, and all the while the pipe in the ground continues to deteriorate even as additional demands are placed on it by an increasing population.
