摘要

The mechanical activation of a-spodumene in centrifugal planetary apparatuses changed the structure of the mineral and caused the cleavage of the Me-O (Me-Li, Al) bonds. Further treatment with acids and alkali led to the nearly complete transition of aluminum and lithium to the liquid phase. The alkaline decomposition of activated a-spodumene formed aluminate solutions, from which lithium aluminum hydroxide LiOH ? 2Al(OH)_3 ? mH_2O was precipitated.
