Monazite Raw Material for the Production of Highly Effective Fertilizers

A method for the processing of monazite is suggested. Monazite was decomposed with potassium hydroxide using potassium carbonate and nitric acid at the stages of the isolation of rare earth elements (REEs) and thorium. The mother solutions containing phosphate, nitrate, and potassium ions can be used for the production of effective phosphorus-nitrogen-potassium fertilizers.
