Steven J. Miller is Senior Lecturer at the School of Information Studies, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His areas of interest cover information organization, metadata, information architecture, taxonomies, thesauri, ontologies, cataloging, and classification, among others. Last year, he published Metadata for Digital Collection: A How-to-do-it Manual (Miller, 2011). He often gives presentations on the topic of metadata, most recently for the staff at the Savannah College of Art and Design. In short, Miller has an impressive scholarly record on the subject of metadata.
