Those of us who cannot get enough of RDA (Resource Description and Access), can surf the Internet and get soaked in the ocean of information available on this topic. The most authoritative websites are those of the Library of Congress, the Joint Steering Committee for the Development of RDA, the RDA Toolkit, and OCLC. [Note: LC and the RDA Toolkit have been covered in earlier Tech Services on the Web reviews.] Of these the Library of Congress' website contains the most comprehensive information, including news, the RDA timeline, as well as documentation and tools from the cataloging community, such as the Program for Cooperative Cataloging (PCC), JSC, OCLC and U.S. RDA Test Coordinating Committee. Most importantly, LC offers training information in the form of webcasts, training modules, exercises, examples, and the Catalogers Learning Workshop. All this information is freely available a click away.
