Assessment and data-driven decision making are the current focus for libraries and most any institution that want to take advantage of the large amount of data and computing power available today to find trends and analyze usage and prove our worth in ways that were not possible even 10 years ago. The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) has been ahead of the curve by building tools for collecting and analyzing data for libraries for decades. They were among the original inventors of the LibQUAL+ Survey, but the ARL staff has not rested on their laurels, as the variety of excellent new resources, tools, and techniques for assessment on the ARL Statistics and Assessment Resources website prove.
