Survey on Advanced Science and Technology

摘要

The National Institute of Science and Technology Policy (NISTEP) of the Science and Technology Agency (STA) has concluded its report on the "survey of trends in advanced science and technology (substances- and materials-science and technology)". This survey investigated the achievements of, and problems associated with, the important R&D goals described in the R&D basic plans of substances- and materials-science and technology (decided in August, 1987) of the Council for Science and Technology, their priority research themes for the future, and the points needing improvement in promoting R&D activities. A questionnaire was sent to 10,951 researchers throughout the country (3,122 researchers responded).
